2 Shots, 3 Tackles & Most Touches Takes West Brom Star To MotM

|

Saturday’s trip to the KCOM Stadium to face Hull City may not have been a comfortable day for West Bromwich Albion, but with a narrow 1-0 victory we took the three Championship points we wanted from the journey.

England midfielder Jake Livermore gave us the advantage just ahead of the half hour mark, and as we continued to keep the clean sheet for the 90 minutes, our small advantage at the top of the second tier table continues – a two point buffer in top spot.

Statistics website Whoscored were pretty complimentary about the performance judging from their player ratings, but having found the net against his former club, 29-year-old Livermore took their star man award to lift Man of the Match with a rating of 8.50.

Completing the top five best performers in their system were Kyle Bartley (7.51), Matheus Pereira (7.38), Conor Townsend (7.37) and Semi Ajayi (7.08).

Goalkeeper Sam Johnstone also received a 7.00 score for his efforts between the sticks.

Onto the next one now.
