2 Key Passes, 1 Shot & Most Touches Sees 23 y/o Impress As West Brom’s MotM Once Again

With significant improvement in our performances under Slaven Bilic, West Bromwich Albion went into Saturday’s Championship clash with Charlton Athletic sitting pretty in top spot in the second tier table.

We had a two point advantage on those sides below us, and with the immediate chasers dropping points in the early kick off, we were looking to grow that buffer zone to give ourselves some wriggle room. Despite taking the lead twice, despite being reduced to ten men in the second half, the visitors hit back on both occasions, so we ultimately had to settle for a point.

Statistics website Whoscored had us clearly edging the game with their player ratinsg, but impressive Matheus Pereira took Man of the Match with a score of 7.35.

Completing the top five in their system were Matt Phillips (7.25), Romaine Sawyers (7.18), Darnell Furlong (7.17) and Kyle Bartley (6.99).

Our small advantage remains and we look for better in the next one.
