1 Shot, 1 Key Pass & Only 36 Touches – West Brom Man Makes Them Count For MotM

|

It wasn’t a happy day for West Bromwich Albion fans on Saturday as former gaffer Tony Pulis unfortunately had the last laugh as his Middlesbrough side took victory on the day to complete their season double.

West Brom made a reasonable fist of things and having fought back from a goal behind, we did take a 2-1 advantage but fellow promotion hopefuls Boro hit back twice in the final 15 to take all the points.

We remain in fourth spot in the Championship table though, so it’s still all to play for.

Statistics website Whoscored weren’t that favourable in their ratings which is a bit surprising as we dominated possession and had greater chances – we just didn’t do enough with it.

Jay Rodriguez took a rating of 7.57 for his efforts with a goal and an assist on the day and completing the top five were Rekeem Harper (7.51), Dwight Gayle (7.42), Sam Field (7.01) and Hal Robson-Kanu (6.89).

With a seven point gap to the automatic spots, West Brom turn attentions back to the midweek FA Cup replay but the priority for head coach Darren Moore remains obvious.
