1 Key Pass & A Number Of Defining Moments Takes 26 y/o To West Brom’s MotM

|

With an unbeaten start to life under head coach Slaven Bilic, West Bromwich Albion went into Tuesday evening’s Championship clash with Leeds United at Elland Road with our noses ahead at the top of the table.

It was a disappointing night ultimately for our travelling fans as we lost out on the points after they took advantage in the first period. Leeds had further opportunities and we had goalkeeper Sam Johnstone to thank for a double save in particular, but we had chances to draw ourselves level, but it wasn’t to be.

Statistics website Whoscored had mixed player ratings after the overall performance, but 26-year-old Johnstone certainly deserved his rating of 7.84.

Matheus Pereira pushed him close with 7.56 to take second spot, and completing the top five best performers in their eyes were Matty Phillips (6.97), Grady Diangana (6.92) and the continually impressive Nathan Ferguson (6.83).

Dust ourselves down and go again, the unbeaten run might be over but we’ll simply look to start another one now.
